Addis Ababa: Urban farming is gaining momentum in Ethiopia, the Office of the Prime Minister revealed today.According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Prime Minister's Office highlighted the transformation of backyards and unused urban spaces into productive green areas. These initiatives not only enhance food security but also contribute to sustainability and economic growth, particularly in metropolitan areas like Addis Ababa. The PMO emphasized the community aspect of urban agriculture, encouraging residents to collaborate by sharing resources like tools, knowledge, and seeds."Want to get started? Try using containers or raised beds, and team up with neighbors to share tools, knowledge, and seeds. Together, you can grow fresh food and build a stronger community," the PMO stated in a social media post today.
