Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed Lieutenant General Asrat Denero as Commissioner of the Addis Ababa Police Commission, effective March 11, 2026.According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Prime Minister also appointed Assistant Commissioner Tofik Meded as Deputy Commissioner of the Commission. In a related appointment, Erziq Issa has also been named Deputy Commissioner of the Addis Ababa Police Commission.
