Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has today met with former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, who led the African Union Election Observation Mission, and his team. He expressed his pleasure in meeting with former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and his team.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy conveyed his gratitude to the 73-member African Union Election Observation Mission, led by former President Uhuru Kenyatta, for its service and contribution to Ethiopia's democracy-building process. He emphasized the importance of African institutions in ensuring that democratic processes are embedded within regional contexts and experiences.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the tireless efforts of the electoral observers, who deployed teams across the country to support Ethiopia's electoral process. He expressed anticipation for the outcomes of their mission, highlighting the critical role they play in reinforcing democratic practices.
