British Embassy Praises NEBE for Organizing Ethiopian General Election

Addis ababa: The British Embassy in Addis Ababa has expressed its appreciation for the National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) regarding the successful organization of the voting stage in the country's 7th General Election. The embassy also acknowledged the efforts of all candidates, observers, volunteers, and officials involved in the process.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, the embassy extended congratulations to NEBE for completing the voting stage of the election in areas where it was feasible. The embassy highlighted the importance of the contributions made by candidates who participated in the public vote, as well as the civil society observers, volunteers, and election officers who dedicated their time to facilitate the electoral process.

The British Embassy further recognized the roles played by the African Union (AU) and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in organizing monitoring missions for the election. The embassy expressed anticipation for the reports that these organizations will release following the conclusion of their observations during the remaining stages of the electoral process.
