Nigerian Vice President Begins Working Visit to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa:Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Addis Ababa for a three-day working visit focused on enhancing cooperation between Nigeria and Ethiopia through high-level experience sharing and government-to-government engagement.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, upon his arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, Vice President Shettima was warmly welcomed by Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos.

During the visit, Shettima and his delegation are set to engage in discussions with senior Ethiopian government officials and explore key institutions. This visit is part of a peer-learning and experience-sharing initiative, particularly emphasizing nutrition delivery and multisectoral development approaches.

The Nigerian delegation plans to visit agricultural and development initiatives in Oromia, Mojo, and Bishoftu. This high-level engagement offers an opportunity for Ethiopia and Nigeria, two of Africa's most populous and influential nations, to exchange practical experiences, deepen institutional cooperation, and explore areas of mutual development interest.
