Manila:President William Ruto of Kenya has extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on his re-election to lead Ethiopia. Ruto described the renewed mandate as a significant vote of confidence in Prime Minister Abiy's leadership and vision for the country.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, President Ruto expressed his warm wishes to the Ethiopian leader, highlighting the importance of the new mandate given by the Ethiopian House of Peoples' Representatives. He emphasized his hope for Prime Minister Abiy's continued success in achieving Ethiopia's transformation agenda.
In addition, President Ruto reaffirmed Kenya's commitment to working closely with Ethiopia. He stated that the cooperation aims to advance shared interests for the mutual benefit of the citizens of both countries, as well as the region and the broader global community.
