Foreign Minister Gedion Briefs African Ambassadors on Ethiopia’s COP32 Preparations

Addis ababa: Foreign Minister and COP32 President-Designate, Gedion Timothewos, on Tuesday briefed African ambassadors on Ethiopia's preparations for COP32. The briefing took place during the 42nd Quarterly Session of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) held at the ECA Headquarters in Addis Ababa.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, the ambassadors reaffirmed Africa's support for Ethiopia's COP32 Presidency and committed to working closely with Ethiopia to ensure that COP32 achieves its goals and priorities. The meeting was chaired by Churchill Ewumbue-Monono, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to Ethiopia and Chair of the ECA Bureau of the Conference of Ministers (COM).

The meeting was also addressed by Claver Gatete, Executive Secretary of the UNECA.
