Ethiopia and India Aim to Enhance Cooperation in Key Sectors

Addis Ababa:Ethiopia and India have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, focusing on expanding cooperation in education, culture, trade, investment, and digitalization.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Ethiopia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, engaged in discussions with India's External Affairs Minister, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, to explore ways to broaden cooperation and advance the longstanding partnership between the two countries.

The talks emphasized the importance of deepening multifaceted ties and unlocking new opportunities for collaboration in key sectors that support economic growth, technological advancement, and people-to-people relations.

During the meeting, Jaishankar expressed appreciation for Ethiopia's active participation in the recent BRICS Summit hosted by India, underscoring the significance of continued engagement between the two nations within multilateral platforms.

These discussions reflect the shared interest of Ethiopia and India in building on their longstanding relations and translating bilateral cooperation into tangible benefits for their peoples, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
