Addis ababa: Russia is looking to Ethiopia as a significant contributor to the BRICS group of nations, according to remarks made by the Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin. Ambassador Terekhin expressed confidence in Ethiopia's role within BRICS, highlighting the potential for the country to influence the collective development of the bloc.According to Ethiopian News Agency, the ambassador's comments came after the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, where discussions and agreements took place on a range of issues. The summit marked Ethiopia's first participation, with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed leading the Ethiopian delegation.
