Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy has received former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo on the eve of Ethiopia's historic National Dialogue Conference. During their meeting, President Obasanjo shared insights from his involvement in the Biafra Peace Process.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy expressed his gratitude for President Obasanjo's visit and the valuable experiences he shared. Highlighting the significance of the upcoming National Dialogue, PM Abiy took to social media to reflect on the meeting, stating, "Today, on the eve of our historic National Dialogue, I received Ethiopia's dear friend Olusegun Obasanjo in my office to discuss the upcoming National Dialogue and to draw on his wisdom from such journeys, where he shared with us his experience leading the Biafra Peace process."
The Prime Minister emphasized that the lessons from the Biafra Peace Process could serve as a guiding light for Ethiopia as it embarks on its journey towards unity and lasting peace through dialogue. He also expressed Ethiopia's deep appreciation for President Obasanjo's contributions to peace efforts.
