Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has called on all Ethiopians to sustain the momentum of national development, urging the nation to unite and build upon its current achievements. Speaking at the Ethiopia Delivers national summit, held under the theme “From Reform to Lasting Change,” the Prime Minister emphasized that nation-building is an ongoing collective responsibility.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Abiy reflected on significant milestones like the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), stressing that these achievements are the results of deliberate choices anchored in the spirit of Medemer. PM Abiy articulated a long-term vision for the country’s trajectory, stating, ‘Our reforms are not an end in themselves; they are the foundation we lay for the generations that will come after us.’
He underscored that the duty of shaping the country spans across generations, adding, ‘I call on every Ethiopian to carry this spirit forward, to receive what we have built, and to rise higher still!’ This rallying cry reflects the Prime Minister’s commitment to fostering a sense of national pride and responsibility among citizens as Ethiopia continues its journey of development and reform.
