The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré thanked this Saturday morning in Ouagadougou, the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (Mali and Niger) and Togo for their contribution in the training of Burkinabe soldiers."This is an opportunity to thank the AES countries, who gave us a helping hand at the start. We sent troops to Mali and Niger, to Togo for training," said the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, this Saturday morning. The Head of State indicated that "since we took our destiny into our own hands, most of the European countries which offered training to Burkina, have systematically stopped and some neighbours have closed military relations with us"."They chased away our trainees who were at home. We responded in kind but we understood that we can train without them because training is a question of experience in war and we readjust by taking into account certain parameters for new recruits."President Traoré informed that in two years since he came to power, they have recruite d "more than 30,000 people in the army, the other forces have also recruited" and promised to double these figures. We will continue to create organic units and we will have a well-structured army, he maintained.Source: Burkina Information Agency
