Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has launched this year’s rainy season volunteer campaign in South West Shewa Zone, Goro District, Gurura Village, aiming to construct 20 homes as part of the rural corridor initiative.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Prime Minister conveyed his message through social media, emphasizing the importance of community support during the rainy season. He stated, “As the rainy season arrives, the hand of kindness we extend to our people grows longer with it.”
The campaign reflects the government’s commitment to rural development and community empowerment. PM Abiy highlighted the significance of collective effort, asserting, “It is only when we extend a hand to one another that we lift our country together, which is why I urge every Ethiopian to join this effort.”
The initiative aims to mobilize volunteers across the nation to contribute to building homes and fostering community spirit. The campaign aligns with the broader goals of enhancing rural infrastructure and improving living conditions in underserved areas.
