Oromia: Oromia cities corridor development initiative is a multifaceted project aimed at revitalising urban areas within the Oromia region of Ethiopia.According to Ethiopian News Agency, the initiative in Oromia encompasses a range of improvements designed to enhance the overall quality of life for residents and create more attractive and functional cities. One of the key focuses of the initiative is the removal of unauthorised roadside constructions. This effort seeks to declutter urban spaces and improve traffic flow. By clearing these obstructions, the initiative aims to make cities more accessible and safer for both pedestrians and vehicles.In addition to decluttering, the Oromia cities corridor development initiative emphasises the creation of green spaces and the expansion of parking facilities. Overview The ongoing conflict in Tigray has led to a humanitarian crisis characterized by alarmingly high levels of food insecurity, gender-based violence, widespread displacement, limited access to services, and the destruction of the local economy. As of June 2021, conflict and insecurity have displaced almost 2 million people across Tigray and into neighbouring regions. Given that the majority of households depend on subsistence agriculture, the loss of their harvest and production inputs has severely impacted their food security and nutrition.
