Netanyahu says 'shame' on Macron and leaders calling for arms embargoes on IsraelJerusalem, UndefinedIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and leaders of countries who have called for a halt to arms shipments to Israel amid its war against Palestinian Hamas and Lebanese Hezbollah.'As Israel fights the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized countries should stand firmly with Israel. Yet President Macron and other Western leaders are now calling for arms embargoes against Israel. They should be ashamed,' Netanyahu said in a video and a statement from his office. The prime minister insisted that his country was waging a multi-front war against organizations backed by Iran, Israel's sworn enemy."Does Iran impose an arms embargo on Hezbollah, the Houthis (rebels in Yemen, editor's note), Hamas and its other proxies? Of course not," he said. These movements are part of the "axis of resistance" against Israel, a group so called by Tehran w hich still includes Iraqi groups.'This axis of terror is united. But the countries that are supposed to oppose this axis of terror are demanding an arms embargo on Israel. What a shame!' he added.Mr. Netanyahu assured that Israel would win even without their support. 'But their shame will last long after the victory. Rest assured that Israel will fight until the battle is won, for our sake and for the sake of peace and security in the world,' he added.Source: Burkina Information Agency
