Addis Ababa: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, held a discussion with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat later today. The two sides exchanged views on common issues, particularly the ties between Ethiopia and the African Union, as well as on regional and continental matters.According to Ethiopian News Agency, Foreign Affairs Minister Gedion reaffirmed Ethiopia's historical commitment to strengthening the African Union. He also expressed appreciation and gratitude for the Chairperson's contributions to the strengthening of the Union.Moussa Faki on his part expressed his delight at the Minister's appointment and conveyed his hope that, during his term, the Union would become even stronger. He also wished him a productive time in his role.
