Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia Engage in Talks to Boost Tourism Cooperation

Addis ababa: Members of the House of People's Representatives (HPR) Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs Standing Committee and a delegation of Saudi Arabian tour operators engaged in discussions today about enhancing tourism collaboration between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia.According to Ethiopian News Agency, Standing Committee Chairperson Dima Nogo emphasized the long-standing historical ties between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia across various spheres. He noted that the tourism sector has been a focal point of growth due to the special attention it has received from the Ethiopian government. Nogo highlighted the development of tourist destinations to higher standards and the implementation of necessary infrastructure to enhance visitor convenience. He expressed Ethiopia's commitment to expanding the sector and elevating the bilateral relationship to a higher level.Ali Dawud, a member of the Saudi delegation and a social media expert, acknowledged the close historical relations between the two nations and expr essed the delegation's commitment to enhancing cooperation in tourism. He remarked on Ethiopia's dedicated efforts toward developing the sector, which were evident during the visit.Alid Ali, another delegation member and manager at Djibouti Airlines, observed Ethiopia's focused initiatives to advance tourism. He cited the rapid development of recreational parks in Addis Ababa and other tourist sites as examples of Ethiopia's progress in the sector.Lina Mohammed, a delegation member and founder of Trust Travel, mentioned the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties in tourism. She stated that the team would work diligently to promote Ethiopia's tourist attractions and historical heritages on a global scale.
