Addis ababa: Members of the House of People's Representatives (HPR) Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs Standing Committee and a delegation of Saudi Arabian tour operators engaged in discussions today to explore avenues for enhancing tourism cooperation between the two nations.According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Dima Nogo, emphasized the long-standing historical connections between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia, noting the growing relationship in the tourism sector due to the Ethiopian government's focus on the industry. Nogo highlighted ongoing efforts to develop tourist destinations and improve infrastructure to enhance visitor experiences, aiming to elevate the bilateral relationship through expanded sector cooperation.Ali Dawud, a member of the Saudi delegation and a social media expert, acknowledged the close historical ties between the two countries and expressed a commitment to jointly enhance tourism cooperation. He noted that the visit underscored Ethiopia's dedicated efforts in developing its tourism sector.Alid Ali, another member of the delegation and manager at Djibouti Airlines, observed Ethiopia's initiatives to advance tourism, citing the rapid development of recreational parks in Addis Ababa and other tourist sites as significant achievements.
