Ethiopia and Germany Engage in Talks on Bilateral and Global Concerns.

Addis Ababa: State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, today held discussions with the Special Envoy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ambassador Wolfgang Dold, at his office. The discussions revolved around an array of topics covering bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest, with a special focus on peace and security in the Horn of Africa.According to Ethiopian News Agency, Ambassador Mesganu emphasized the importance Ethiopia places on its bilateral relationship with Germany. He praised Germany's significant role in supporting Ethiopia's economic development through various financial and technical assistance programs. He reiterated Ethiopia's dedication to promoting peace, stability, and economic integration within the region, highlighting the nation's efforts to address security challenges and foster development.Ambassador Wolfgang Dold, the Special Envoy, confirmed Germany's ongoing commitment to providing technical assistance to Ethiopia, especially in economic d evelopment. He commended Ethiopia for its substantial contributions to peacekeeping operations. Both parties agreed to strengthen their bilateral and multilateral efforts through political consultations, building on over 120 years of diplomatic relations.
