Degehabur: Election materials are being distributed to polling stations in Degehabur town of the Somali region ahead of Ethiopia's upcoming general election. Degehabur Constituency Logistics Officer Abdulfetah Mahamud stated that the distribution process is proceeding smoothly.According to Ethiopian News Agency, Degehabur town has 38 polling stations, all of which are receiving the necessary election materials. Voter Sahredin Jamal expressed his eagerness to cast his vote and plans to arrive at the polling station early in the morning. Similarly, Said Mohammed mentioned his preparation to vote on Monday morning.Sultan Shaker Abdi confirmed that he has already received his voter registration card and is awaiting Election Day, while Neima Heyru stated she is ready to participate in Ethiopia's Seventh General Election. Voters across the country are expected to cast their ballots in this election scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2026, with polling stations nationwide set to open at 6:00 a.m.According to the Na tional Election Board of Ethiopia, more than 54 million voters have been registered for the election.
