Back to Your Origin Summer Festival Kicks Off in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa: The ''Back to Your Origin Summer Fest'', organized for the Second-Generation Ethiopians Homecoming, kicked off today at Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa.The three-day festival will serve as a vibrant platform for showcasing Ethiopian art, Sport, and culinary traditions, while fostering traditions within the Ethiopian diaspora, it was stated.The summer fest is part of the third round of the second generation Ethiopians homecoming which has been underway from the onset of the ongoing Ethiopian rainy season.Deputy Director General of Ethiopian Diaspora Agency, Belayneh Aknaw said the festival will pave ways to encourage the diaspora to engage in the transfer of knowledge, skills and technology as well as to enable them actively participate in tourism, trade and investment sectors.
