Addis ababa: The Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission and the IGAD Election Observation Mission are set to present their preliminary findings regarding Ethiopia's 2026 election on Wednesday, 3rd June, 2026. This information was shared via the IGAD's social media channels.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Speciosa Wandira-Kazibwe, who leads the IGAD Election Observation Mission, and Uhuru Kenyatta, head of the African Union Election Observation Mission, held a post-election debriefing meeting shortly after the polls closed in Ethiopia. This meeting provided a platform for both leaders to review and consolidate observations collected by their teams during the election day and the immediate aftermath.

The consultations were an essential step in the ongoing assessment of the electoral process, allowing the missions to refine their observations. Both the African Union and IGAD missions are expected to formally present their preliminary findings on the electoral proceedings on the stated date.
