Dire dawa: Emerta Library was constructed using funds obtained from the sale of PM Abiy Ahmed's book, "Medemer," with the aim of promoting a reading culture and improving public access to knowledge.According to Ethiopian News Agency, the library is built on an area of more than 1,000 square meters and features modern infrastructure with three floors, including terrace space so that users can read and utilize the services while enjoying the pleasant climate of Dire Dawa. The library includes a Braille reading section, an IT center designed for users with special needs, outdoor reading areas, private and group reading and study rooms, and a conference hall.Overall, the library was built to serve up to 1,000 people at a time, and its bookshelves alone have the capacity to hold up to 1 million books.
