Addis ababa: Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh held bilateral discussions with Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama at Jubilee House on the sidelines of the African Union Emergency Health Summit. The meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding friendship between Ethiopia and Ghana, rooted in shared Pan-African ideals and commitments to Africa's unity and progress.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, both leaders welcomed the completion of Ghana's new Chancery building in Addis Ababa, describing it as a symbol of the enduring bonds between the two nations. President Mahama expressed appreciation for Ethiopia's historic role as a symbol of African freedom and unity, acknowledging the country's progress through initiatives like the Green Legacy Initiative and other national development efforts.
The discussions also highlighted the preparations for the 12th Tana Forum. Both leaders commended the leadership of the Tana Forum Board for advancing dialogue on peace, security, and Africa's future. Deputy PM Temesgen reaffirmed Ethiopia's commitment to deepening its partnership with Ghana to advance shared African and global interests.
