Bishoftu: The new Bishoftu International Airport, under construction about 40 kilometers southeast of Addis Ababa, is set to become one of the world's largest aviation hubs and a transformative milestone in Ethiopia's development. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reviewed the rapid progress of the project during an early morning site visit today, ENA learned.According to Ethiopian News Agency, designed to handle up to 110 million passengers annually upon full completion of its master plan, the airport will have a capacity approximately 4.4 times greater than the current Bole International Airport. This represents a transformative milestone in Ethiopia's aviation development, it was learned.Construction is advancing around the clock, underscoring the strategic importance of a project that is expected to redefine Ethiopia's role in global air transport.
