Accra - Mr. Robert Lamptey, aspiring to be the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Madina Constituency, has expressed strong confidence in leading the party to success in the upcoming parliamentary election. Mr. Lamptey believes his social interventions and positive feedback from his campaign tour make him the ideal candidate for the constituency.
According to Ghana News Agency, during a meeting with delegates from Adenta West and Madina West in Madina, Accra, he emphasized his commitment to changing the constituency's narrative. He referred to the desire of the constituents for change, moving away from the 'old stock'. Mr. Lamptey has initiated the 'Nkayee' project, aiming to support longstanding party members who have significantly contributed to the constituency but are now aged.
Mr. Lamptey highlighted his contributions to the constituency, including providing streetlights to some communities. He is confident that if chosen by the delegates, he will not only win the seat for the NPP but also help the party break the eight-year political cycle often observed in Ghanaian politics.
In his quest to enhance community welfare, Mr. Lamptey has established a health team in the constituency to offer medical services to the residents. This initiative is part of his broader effort to address local needs and improve the quality of life for his constituents.
Emphasizing the importance of a respectful and issue-based campaign, Mr. Lamptey urged his followers and the youth to avoid insults, acrimony, and name-calling. He reminded them that all aspirants in the constituency are members of the NPP family, advocating for unity and solidarity throughout the campaign period. Mr. Lamptey's approach reflects a commitment to positive and issue-focused political discourse, a crucial element in fostering democratic processes and healthy political competition.
