Raphael Dwamena, forward for the Black Stars, has passed away after suffering a heart attack during a match in the Albanian national football league. The unfortunate incident occurred during the game between Egnatia and Partizani at the Hasan Zyla Stadium, leading to Dwamena's collapse on the field.

According to Ghana News Agency, the 28-year-old Ghanaian player collapsed unconscious in the 24th minute of the match and was immediately rushed to the Kavaja hospital. This was not the first health scare for Dwamena, as he had previously faced similar heart issues. In October 2019, he was advised to retire from football after a series of heart attacks, and he underwent surgery in January 2020 while playing for the Spanish club Levante. Dwamena made his international debut for Ghana's senior national team during the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, where he scored twice.
