Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala met earlier today at the Office of the Prime Minister to confer on bilateral issues, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Fiala is in Ethiopia for a three-day working visit.
Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport yesterday, the premier was accorded a warm welcome by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
Following the meeting of the premiers at the Office of the Prime Minister, Abiy wrote on his Facebook that he was “pleased to receive Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic.
“We aim to build on existing relations between our two countries to further mutual development,” he added.
The aim of Czech PM Fiala's visit is to further strengthen the strategic bilateral ties and cooperation of his country with Ethiopia in terms of development and investment, among other areas.
Concluding his working visit to Ethiopia, Fiala will continue to the remaining sub-Saharan African countries, namely Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire.
