The commune of Kaloum, seat of the country's public administration, is experiencing unrest around 5 a.m. this Saturday, November 4, 2023, due to automatic weapons fire.
Questioned by a local radio station, the Minister of Justice and Human Rights explains: it was around 5 a.m. this Saturday that a group of heavily armed men burst into the central house of Conakry located in the Coronthie district to extract four (4) accused from the trial of September 28, 2009. Among these detainees is Captain Moussa Dadis Camara Claude Pivi Moussa, Tiegboro and Blaise Goumou. ยป
One of the accused was recaptured and returned to prison, Moussa Thiegboro Camara, adds the Minister of Justice.
Further, Minister Alphonse Charles Wright reassures that investigations are underway and that the three others are actively sought. He promises that the trial of the massacres of September 28, 2009 will follow its normal course and he will see it through to the end.
