World Bank Vows To Continue Support For Development Activities In Ethiopia

Fitsum Assefa(PhD), Minister of Planning and Development, met with the World Bank delegation at her office and held discussions with them.

The two parties looked at ways to strengthen current collaboration between Ethiopia and the World Bank and pinpointed potential new areas of cooperation.

The Minister called for a stronger cooperation based on reciprocal engagements while highlighting the World Bank’s support for Ethiopia’s aspirations for growth.

For his part, Ousmane Dione, Director of the World Bank in Ethiopia, reaffirmed the bank’s sustained support for the many development initiatives the Ethiopian government has been pursuing.
