NPP Delegates in Lower Manya Krobo Prepared for Party’s Presidential Primaries
LOWER MANYA KROBO — The New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituents in Lower Manya Krobo are gearing up to participate in the party’s crucial presidential primaries with a total of 828 delegates expected to vote on Saturday.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Gilbert Nyarko Tetteh, the research and elections officer of the NPP for the Lower Manya Krobo constituency, clarified the composition of the delegates. The voters include constituency executives, electoral area coordinators, and polling station executives, but will exclude the five council of elders and the five council of patrons due to a directive from the party’s presidential election committee.
The election process is set to take place at the Otalenya Polling Station within the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly grounds, located in the Mampong Electoral Area. Tetteh emphasized that in adherence to regulations, none of the delegates or party supporters would be permitted to wear party-branded attire or carry any paraphernalia at the polling station.
With a strong focus on maintaining decorum, the NPP leadership in Lower Manya Krobo anticipates a peaceful voting atmosphere and has called for respectful dialogue during the process. The emphasis has been laid on avoiding hate speech and encouraging unity among supporters and members.
In his statement, Mr. Tetteh invited all members of the NPP to rally behind the winner of the primaries to ensure the party’s success in the upcoming 2024 general elections. He also reminded the delegates and supporters of the importance of their conduct in fostering the unity and strength necessary for the party’s forthcoming presidential and parliamentary campaigns.
