Fire Erupts at Seoul’s Jogye Temple Building
Seoul: A fire broke out at the Central Buddhist Museum building next to Jogye Temple in central Seoul on Tuesday morning, firefighters and witnesses said. The blaze reportedly started at the international conference hall located on the second floor of the museum building at 10:22 a.m., and firefighters are currently putting it out. There are no reports of casualties yet.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, a Jogye Temple official stated that smoke started emanating from the international conference hall, and the amount of smoke increased rapidly, prompting monks and temple officials to hurriedly evacuate. The official confirmed that the fire has not spread towards Jogye Temple.
