Accra - The Children's Ministry of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (E.P.C.G) at North-La Parish, has made a generous donation to the Shelter for Abused Children in Osu. The initiative aims to nurture the children's innate generosity and encourage them to support charitable causes.
According to Ghana News Agency, During the donation, Mrs. Diana Dela Yuiah, a teacher in the Ministry, explained that the Ministry acted to spread love within their community, starting with the Shelter in their neighborhood. The donated items included clothes, shoes, biscuits, detergents, drinking water, rice, cooking oil, toiletries, beverages, and assorted drinks. Mrs. Mary Seidu, the Shelter Manager, expressed her gratitude for the donation.
The Shelter, under the Department of Social Welfare, comprises four units: Boys remand, Correctional Girls, Shelter for Abused Children, and a Vocational Centre. Mrs. Seidu appealed for more support from Ghanaians and various organizations. Presbyter Mrs. Bertha Amedo, accompanying the delegation, advised the children at the Shelter to remain obedient, view the world positively, and trust in God for guidance.
