Ethiopia and Greece Discuss Elevating Longstanding Ties to Advance Mutual Interests

Addis Ababa – Foreign Affairs State Minister Mesganu Arga met with Greece Ambassador to Ethiopia, Anna Farrou, at his office today to discuss strengthening the historic people-to-people ties between the two countries into robust bilateral relations.

According to the Ethiopia News Agency, Ambassador Mesganu emphasized the need to elevate the existing longstanding relations to help advance mutual interests. Ambassador Anna Farrou pointed out that while the countries share a long history, much remains to be done to turn these ties into a political dialogue.

In a move to foster closer relations, Ambassador Anna extended an invitation to Ambassador Mesganu on behalf of his Greek counterpart to visit Greece. Ambassador Mesganu accepted the invitation and confirmed that dates would be set for a political consultative meeting between the two nations.
