The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, said on Saturday on Radio Burkina that Burkina Faso has only one center that treats cancer but specified that the second is under construction in Bobo-Dioulasso (second city ).The existing one is the Bogodogo radiotherapy center (Ouagadougou) which handles the treatment of several cancers including cervical, prostate, lung, rectal, esophageal and stomach cancers inaugurated on April 9, 2021.The head of state answered questions from Burkinabe people on national radio from the presidential palace of Koulouba in Ouagadougou on the occasion of the second year of his arrival in power.He said that currently the State cannot provide free treatment for all cancers, which is why they have chosen to provide free treatment for childhood cancers for the time being.Source: Burkina Information Agency
