Pakistani Investors Express Keenness to Invest in Aluminum, Metal Production in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa: Pakistani investors have shown a strong interest in investing in Ethiopia, particularly in the aluminum, metal, and packaging paper production sectors within the industrial parks and Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone managed by the Industrial Parks Development Corporation.
Shiferaw Solomon, General Manager of Industrial Projects Services at the Corporation, met with the Pakistani investors to discuss potential opportunities for collaboration and investment.
During the discussion, the General Manager outlined the available infrastructures, investment incentives, and advantages of the 13 industrial parks and the Dire Dawa Free Trade Zone.
Shiferaw also emphasized the benefits of Ethiopia’s young, educated workforce, the favorable investment climate, and the government’s strong support for industrial parks as ideal factors for investment.
The Pakistani investors for their part noted that Ethiopia offers favorable investment conditions and opportunities. They are currently on a pre-investment visit to ex
plore opportunities in the aluminum, metal, and paper packaging sectors within the industrial parks.
The Industrial Parks Development Corporation is collaborating closely with the Ethiopian Embassy in Pakistan to enhance the participation of Pakistani investors in the industrial parks and free trade zones.
